Happy Birthday to Me!
What an awesome day! Yesterday was my 35th birthday! I had a full long day with the man and kids. This year I thought to myself if I get out the house my number 1 mission is to make it to Sephora and Ulta for my free birthday gifts! I always miss them every year but not this year!!!
So we started the day at Denny’s where I had a grand slam breakfast free (all you need is to show your ID). Lennox spilled his orange juice on my feet and Dj knocked his sprite into my lap. Yay me! So we hurried up and I took my jeans off in the parking lot. The upside to living in a beach town is that my actions were ‘normal’ 😂
We headed to Target where the man so kindly ran in to purchase me a new pair of pants so we didn’t have to drive home. Next stop, the mall. I rarely ever go to the mall. So little in fact that we didn’t even know that all the shops don’t open until Noon. I took the opportunity to head over to Starbucks and get my free birthday drink. The barista made my drink wrong so I ended up with two free drink...I gave the incorrect drink to my children to share. The barber shop was open so Dj got a haircut as we just walked haphazardly around playing random prize games...we won nothing! Alas, Noon arrives and I floor it to Sephora, get my gift and we turn to leave. I wanted to look around but I noticed ‘the guys’ didn’t walk in. I stopped at Kay’s to have my ring cleaned then met up with the guy at Old Navy. Jean were 50% so I picked up a pair plus a cute top I found on clearance... both adding up to $20. You know I love a good deal! A short trip to Sam’s club for a few weekly essentials the a stop to Ulta! I seriously felt like I was hitting goals 😂
On the way home the Man asked what I wanted for dinner; for those that don’t know, I generally cook every night. So asking me this usually means ‘what do you feel like cooking?’ I replied by simply saying ‘something easy’. He then drove us to Hot Heads, which I’d compare somewhat to Willy’s in Atlanta. He informed the staff it was my birthday and that he was treating me and the kids. They gifted me my meal!!! The Man was happy about that! Then he surprised me with a cake to end our day along with a few Redbox rentals.

I guess my day might not seem too exciting but I was exhausted and the kids were all asleep by 9p which isn’t normal for them. I sat in bed for a bit completing a few online surveys and a pimple popping YouTube video.
